Поставщик идентичности, ответственный в соответствии с законом, отраслевой практикой, или вариантом реализации системы за окончательный ответ на запрос идентичности.
Для множества идентичностей, авторитетным поставщиком идентичности будет уполномоченная организация по регистрации или устройство, которое определяет идентичности и их связи с объектом на определенный момент времени.
Авторитетным поставщиком идентичности может также быть сам объект, если это допустимо.
