Один из приемов прогнозирования: анализ прогнозных оценок таким образом, чтобы было видно влияние каждой переменной на результат. В частности, исследуется чувствительность финансовых прогнозов к различным изменениям в исходных гипотезах, лежащих в их основе. А.ч. выражается в серии расчетов (в финансовой оценке или прогнозе) с использованием одной или большего числа переменных, напр., будущих темпов инфляции или дефляции и смет затрат, которые поочередно изменяются, с тем чтобы продемонстрировать различия в результатах. Примеры: анализ чувствительности конъюнктуры, объема продаж или операций на рынке к уровню риска и прибыльности инвестиций, анализ чувствительности инвестиционных проектов и др.
