1 Perspektīvo pētījumu pārvaldes tīkls ARPANET
▪ Terminien Advanced Research Projects Agency NETwork, en ARPANET inf.lv Pirmais pakešu komutācijas tīkls, ko pēc ASV Aizsardzības ministrijas Perspektīvo pētījumu pārvaldes (ARPA) pasūtījuma izstrādāja vairākas universitātes un privātās firmas. Četru mezglu variantā šis tīkls sāka darboties 1969. gadā.
