Nota d'usoTo affect non ha a che fare con l'affetto, ma principalmente significa “influenzare, influire su”: The housing market has been badly affected by the recession, il mercato immobiliare è stato influenzato negativamente dalla recessione; The strike is bound to affect the economy, lo sciopero è destinato a influire sull'economia.
