[от лат. родового названия Ruta (graveolens) — рута пахучая и - in(e) — суффикс, обозначающий "подобный"]природное соединение из группы флавоноидов (см. флавоноиды), образованное флавоном кверцетином и дисахаридом рутинозой (см. рутиноза). Антиоксидант, обладает витаминной активностью, регулирует проницаемость капилляров, улучшает использование организмом аскорбиновой кислоты (см. аскорбиновая кислота). Содержится в руте душистой, чайном кусте, гречихе, цитрусовых и некоторых других растениях. Синтез Р. впервые осуществлен в 1957 г. Н. Преображенским с соавт.Толковый биотехнологический словарь.
