Ψωφιδος), eine Stadt in der arkadischen Landschaft Psophidia, westlich vom Erymanthus, die aber schon nach der Eroberung durch Philipp von Mazedonien gänzlich in Verfall kam, j. Ruinen beim Khan von Tripotamo, Plin. 4, 20. Mela 2, 3, 5 (2. § 43) u.a. – Akk. Psophida hat die vorletzte Silbe lang bei Ov. met. 5, 607, kurz bei Stat. Theb. 4, 296. – Dav. Psōphīdius, a, um (Ψωφίδιος), aus Psophis gebürtig, Plin. 7, 151. Val. Max. 7, 1, 2.
