Smallruss. vólotь `thread, ear; raceme', Serb. vlât `ear' (IE *u̯olti-); with (Solmsen KZ 42, 214 n. 4) Germ., e. g. NHG Wald (IE *u̯óltu-; diff. Fick 2, 277); from the words mentioned λάσιος from IE *u̯l̥ti̯os would differ in ablaut.
