Новалис (1772-1801), поэт-романтик, романист, философ. Ему принадлежат идеи интуитивистской диалектики, всеобщего символизма природы, полярности и взаимоперехода вещей ("магический идеализм"). Изучал философию в Йене и в Ляйпциге, где сблизился с Фихте и Ф. Шлегелем. Увлекался горным делом, служил асессором по соляному ведомству. Умер молодым от туберкулёза. Выдающийся поэт раннего романтизма, Новалис с большой чуткостью и философской глубиной выразил драму сознания, потрясённого мировыми переворотами, и вместе с тем непримиримую вражду к разуму, культ ночных и тёмных сил. (Новалис. Генрих фон Офтердинген - 1802 г.) Blaue Blume (Novalis. Heinrich von Ofterdingen). Der Meistersinger Ofterdingen, die Hauptgestalt des Romans von Novalis, sucht nach einer von ihm im Traum erblickten blauen Blume. Auf der Suche danach erstarkt seine Dichtergabe. Das Motiv der blauen Blume entlehnte Novalis einer deutschen Volkssage. Dort steckt sich ein Hirte die Blume, ohne von ihrer Zauberkraft zu wissen, an den Hut. Sie bewirkt, dass der Hirte "sehend" wird und den bisher verborgenen Eingang zu einem Schatz entdeckt. Der Ausdruck "blaue Blume" wurde bald zum Symbol für die Sehnsucht der Romantiker nach neuen Erlebnis- und Erkenntnismöglichkeiten. Im Russischen wird er heute in der Bedeutung unerfüllbarer romantischer Traum, nicht zu erreichendes Ideal zitiert. -
