Jabberwocky

  • 1 jabberwocky

    jabberwocky /ˈdʒæbəwɒkɪ/
    n. [u]
Le parole, benché ricordino vagamente l'anglosassone, sono per lo più inventate, come si può constatare sin dai primi versi: «'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves / Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: / All mimsy were the borogoves, / And the mome raths outgrabe».
