1 Jamdanee
This term includes a large variety of loom figured muslins which were formerly the most costly productions of Dacca. They were woven on hand looms in very complicated designs. The yarn used was 200's to 250's. The fabrics were generally manufactured for royalty about the 16th and 17th centuries and cost up to ???2 per yard of 36-in. width. -
2 Jamadance
Very fine brocaded or embroidered muslin made in India by laying short lengths of gold or coloured threads parallel with the warp in the hand looms (see Jamdanee)
