декартовы координаты
Система координат, состоящая из двух перпендикулярных осей. Положение точки в такой системе формируется с помощью двух чисел, определяющих расстояние от центра координат по каждой из осей.

система координат, в которой положение точки на плоскости или в пространстве определяется её расстояниями от двух (или трёх) перпендикулярных осей, начало которых зафиксировано. Оси, лежащие на плоскости, называются x (x-axis) и y (y-axis), вертикальная ось обозначается z (z-axis).
