כַּרְכַּס(b. h.) pr. n. m. Carcas, one of the seven attendants of King Ahasuerus. Esth. R. to I, 10 (interpret. by way of acrostics) (read:) ז̇ת̇ר̇ וכ̇ר̇כ̇ס ז̇נות̇ רְ֗אֵה של אותו רשע וְכָרְכֵם (the Lord said to the angel) see the profligacy of this wicked man, and tie them (like sheaves for threshing; v.
