Consists in taking out from the back of the cloth all slubs, straws, etc.; drawing out thick threads of warp and weft, and opening the knots; and afterwards looking-over carefully the face of the cloth, and pushing such irregularities as loose ends and curls on to the back, in order that the face of the fabric shall be as clear of irregularities as possible. -
