I, 9 a ‘reptile (scarabee) which is broken (out of its setting), or whose point is broken off, is not susceptible of uncleanness; but if the hooks remain on it on both sides Tosef.Ab. Zar. V (VI), 2 הר׳ העשוי כמין הדרקוןוכ׳ a raḥosh which is made like a dragon (intimating an idolatrous emblem, v. צִיץ) is forbidden, but if a dragon is suspended from it, you may throw the dragon away ; Y. ib. III, 42d top (read:) המוצאר׳ עשוי כמין דרקון אסורוכ׳. -
