1 Design Paper
A special kind of paper ruled in rectangles forming small squares. For woven fabrics vertical spaces between adjacent ruled lines represent warp threads and the transverse spaces represent weft picks. Marks in the squares can be placed to represent warp up or down as desired. Designs for lace and for knitted fabrics are also drawn or painted on squared paper, but the marks have special significance. -
