פְּרָעָהf., pl. פְּרָעוֹת (b. h.; פָּרַע) 1) = preced., wild irregular growth, esp. the case of protruding boughs on one of which is an uncleanness, v. סְכָכָה. Ohol. Shmoth 9 אותו נ׳ עשויוכ׳ that taskmaster was appointed over ; Ex. R. s. 1 נ׳ ממונה על עשרה שוטרים one (Egyptian) taskmaster was appointed over ten (Israelitish) officers. Lev. R. s. 32 (in Chald. dict.) קרץ נ׳ גביוכ׳ Ar. (ed. קדם) the taskmaster came early to the officer, saying, go and gather thy men ; a. fr.Pl. נוֹגְשִׂים, נוֹגְשִׂין. Ib.; Ex. R. l. c. Pirké dR. El. ch.
