פָּטַם(cmp. פטל, a. פטש s. v. פַּטִּיש) 1) to crush, pound, v. infra. 2) to expand, make large, fatten.Part. pass. פָּטוּם; f. פְּטוּמָה; pl. פְּטוּמִים, פְּטוּמִין; פְּטוּמוֹת.
