פזמיקין

פַּטְרִיקוֹןm. (πάτρικος, patricus, -a, -um) something hereditary, heirloom, patrimony. Ylamd. to Num. 21:1, quot. in Ar. יודעין אנו שיש להן מאבותיהן פטריקאוכ׳ we know that they (Israel) have a legacy from their ancestors who said to them, ‘the voice is Jacobs voice (i. e. prayer); I, too, rely on my patrimony, as it is said (Gen. 27:40), ‘by thy sword thou shalt live; Yalk. Num. 764. Gen. R. s. 49 אילו מפ׳ שלווכ׳ if I asked (permission to cut some trees down) on his patrimony, he would not refuse me. Ib. s. 98 (ref. to Gen. 49:8, a. 2 Sam. 22:41) שהיה פ׳ שלווכ׳ (not שהיו פטיריקין) it was his (Judahs) hereditary privilege (paternal blessing, to lay hands on the enemys neck); Midr.
