    רָטוּשm. (רָטַש; v. רְטַש) an emigrant or fugitive whose estate is abandoned, v. נָטוּש.Pl. רְטוּשִׁים, רְטוּשִׁין. Tosef.Keth.VIII, 3 אלו הןר׳ כל שאינו יודעוכ׳ rṭushin (in law) are those whose whereabouts is unknown, contrad. to נטושין; Y. ib. IV, 29a אלו הן נכסיר׳ כל שהלך אביווכ׳ estate of rṭushin is, if ones father, or … any of those whom he would be entitled to succeed, have gone abroad ; Y.Yeb.XV, 15a top; B. Mets.38b. Ib. 39a ר׳ דמדעתן rṭushin are those who leave (or run away) of their own accord (ref. to Hos. 10:14; differ. in Y. l. c. נטוש זה שיצא לדעת).
