נָאלָאII, נָאלָה m. (לְאִי, לְהִי, v. P. Sm. 2260) 1) fatigue, heavy load; cmp. אוּבְצָנָא. Targ. Y. Deut. 21:3 דלא סליק בנ׳ שעבוד דניר Ar., read: דלא סליק עלה דכר ולא אטרחא בנ׳ ( שעבוד דניר being a gloss interpreting נאלא); cmp. Targ. Y. Num. 19:2. 2) incubus, asthma believed to be caused by a demon בן נפלים. Bekh.44b (ref. to רוח קצרה or קצרית, Mish. ib. VII, 5) מאי ניהו נאלה Ar.
