מתניתא

מַתְנִיתָאf. ch. = h. מִשְׁנָה, Mishnah, esp. (in Babli) collection of Mishnahs not embodied in the Mishnah of R. גּוּזְמָאm. (גּזַם) a figure of speech, hyperbole. B. Mets. 104b ג׳ בעלמא הוא דקגזים he used only a hyperbolical expression (‘a thousand Zuz).
