מבינא

מְבִינָאm. (= מלבינא; ל rejected as in מֶקֵח, fr. לָקַח, cmp. מַסְקָנָא fr. נְסַק; v. לָבַן II) broom. Targ. Is. 14:23 (some ed. incorr. מכ׳).Gen. R. s. 79 end אומרת אשאיל לי מְבִינָיךְ יכ׳ (not מבנייך, מבניך) wanted to say, Lend me thy broom, and she said, Lend me מְטַאֲטֵיךְ; Y.Meg.II, 73a bot. אלבינה; correct etymol. a. v. אַלְבִּינָא).
