B. Kam.71b if one steals objects dedicated to the sanctuary for which the original owner is responsible in case of loss, he is bound to pay the thiefs fine (כֵּפֶל) to the owner; אלמא דבר הג׳ למ׳ כממון דמי which proves that that which may cause a pecuniary loss, is to be considered as the property of him to whom it may cause it.
