חֲצוּבָאII m. ch. = חֲצָב II. B. Bath.56a ח׳ שבו תיחםוכ׳ (Ms. O. חצב, Rashi חצובה) it is the ḥ. which Joshua introduced as landmarks. Bets.25b ח׳ מקטעוכ׳ (some ed. חצובה) the ḥ. cuts the feet of (convicts) the wicked (who remove the boundary lines).Pes.111b בטולא דחצבא דלא חצב גרמידא (Rashi: דחצובא) in the shade of a ḥ that has not cut through (grown) to an arms length (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note); Yalk. Deut. 945. -

חֲצוּבָהII f. (v. חָצָב) a stand for a pitcher, tripod.כח׳ in the shape of a tripod, triangulary arranged. B. Mets.25a כח׳ מהו (Ms. H. כחוצבא) if coins are found lying in a triangle; (Y. ib. II, 8b, sq. מצובה, expl. קרפיפא). B. Bath.83b (also כחצובא) planted in a triangle. Erub.85b דקיימי כח׳ (Ms. M. דעבידת כי חציבא, read: חצובא, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) the three ruins between two buildings stand in a triangle (so as to make only the central ruin equally near to both dwellings). -
