חכיר

חַכִּיר, חֲכִירm. ( חכר, cmp. חכינא) bent, bowed down. Targ. Ps. 35:14; 38:7 (Ar. הֲבִיר; Ms. חַמָּר I).

חָכִיר, חָכוּרm. (חָכַר) I) tenant on a fixed rent payable in kind, v. אָרִיס II. Y.Bicc.I, end, 64b ח׳ לשעה; a tenant for a fixed term, ח׳ לעולם a permanent tenant (on ground rent). B. שָׁכַר(b. h.; cmp. כָּרָה) to hire, engage; to rent. B. Mets.VI, 1 השׂוֹכֵר אתוכ׳ if one engages artisans (through an agent). Ib.
