זָחַהּ, זָחַח( to glisten, to be proud, wanton.Denom. זָהוֹהַּ. Hif. הִזְהִיהַּ, הִזְחִיחַ to charge one with wantonness. Ḥull.7a אין מַזְהִיהִין אותו Ar., (ed. מַזְחִיחִין) you must not reproach him as a haughty person, v. זָנַח a. זוּחַ. -

Ḥull.7a אין מְזִיחִין אותו (with ref. to יִזַּח, Ex. 28:28) we do not make him give up his opinion; v. זָהַהּ.Keth.10b מזבח מֵזִיחַ (or מֵזִיח) the altar removes (evil decrees). -

Kat. 28b, v. מַר II.Pl. מַרְזֵחִים, מַרְזֵחִין, מַרְזֵי׳. Sifré Num. 131 חזרו לעשות להם מ׳ they (the Moabites) again arranged (idolatrous) banquets for them. Koh. R. to VII, 1, end חכל סופדין … עישה לו מ׳ all people lament and clap hands over the death of the righteous man (Samuel), and this wicked man (Nabal) holds banquets; Yalk. Sam. 134; Midr. Sam. ch. 23. Esth. R. to I, 2; ib. to I, 9; a. e. -
