הצבבה

צִבְיוֹןm. (preced. art.) desire, pleasure. Keth.111a (ref. to צבי, Ez. 26:20) ארץ שצִבְיוֹנִי בה מתיה חייםוכ׳ the dead of the land in which I have my desire, shall be revived (v. צְבִי 1). Gen. R. s. 10 (ref. to צבא Job 7:1) וכל צִבְיוֹנוֹ שלוכ׳ and all the desire of man refers to what is earthly. Ex. R. s. 1 (play on הצבבה, 1 Chr. 4:8) שעשה צביונווכ׳ he did the will of the Lord; a. fr.Ḥull.60a כל … בקומתם … בדעתם … בצִבְיוֹנָם נבראו all the works (animals) of creation were created in their full-grown stature, with their consent, with their pleasure (in their mission, with ref. to צבאם, Gen. 2:1); (Rashi: according to the shape of their own choice); R.
