בחשי

בַּחֲשָׁאm. (preced.) 1) stirring ladle, pot-ladle. Pes.111b (read:) ומיחזי כי ב׳ והדר בי כדא דכמכא (v. comment.) and he (the shadow-demon) looks like a ladle turning in a vessel 2) rakings, hot ashes. Snh.39a (read:) אותיבתה תותי ב׳ she placed it (the roast) under the grate (in the ashes); (Ar. אותיבתיה קמיה בבִיחוּשֵׁיה she placed it before him with the raked ashes clinging to it; Yalk. Gen. 23 אותבי׳ תותי רגליה ב׳, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note). בחשי, quot. in Ar. fr. Ab. Zar. (60b), תותי ב׳, read בֵּי שַׁחְיָא, arm-pit; v. Y. ib. II, 41a bot.
