אפקיליס

אַפִּיקוֹרִין, אַפִּיקוֹרָן,only in בא׳ as adv. (v. preced. ws.) without restraint. Ḥull.104b עוף וגבינה נאכלין בא׳ (Ar. רין …, ed. רן …, some ed. אפיק׳, without prefix ב) poultry and cheese may be eaten without restraint, expl. ibid. בלא נטיל׳וכ׳ without intermission by washing hands (A marginal note referring to the opinion of אפיקולוס, Tosef.Ḥull.VIII, 3, has been mistaken for a var. lect. of our w., as אפקיליס, אפוקלוס, אפיקולוס, אפקוליס, and another glossator, prob. thinking of facialis, φακίολης, added פי׳ מטליתall of which was interpolated in Alfasi a. l., a. in Ar. s. v. אפיקורין.
