Ϝαλικιώτας points to original *σϜᾱλιξ, from IE reflexive *su̯e (in Fhe, s. ἕ, ἑ) with the same suffix, as in ἡλίκος, τηλίκος, πηλίκος (s. vv.); cf. Chantraine op. cit. 152ff.). So prop.
