An. Ox. 3, 351 (where σκαπαρδεῦσαι) = συμμαχῆσαι. From H. also: καπαρδεῦσαι μαντεύσασθαι, σκαρπαδεῦσαι κρῖναι; σκάπαρδος ὁ ταραχώδης καὶ ἀνάγωγος, λακκοσκάπερδον λακκόπρωκτον.
