Appellant, appellator. – od. umschr. qui appellat, provocat. – Appellation, a) als Handlung: appellatio. provocatio (s. »appellieren« [169] die Verba), an jmd., ad alqm (auch app. alcis); von einem an jmd., ab alqo ad alqm; an jmd. gegen einen, gegen od. wegen etwas, ad alqm adversus alqm od. alqd. – eine A. einlegen, s. appellieren: eine A. zugestehen, dare alci provocationem od. ius provocationis, gegen jmd., adversus alqm. – b) als Schrift: libellus appellatorius (ICt).

Berufung, I) tr.convocatio (Zusammenberufung). – Ist es = Appellation, s. d. – ohne B. (Beschreiung), praefiscĭne. – II) refl. die B. auf andere, auctoritates. Berufungsrecht, ius provocandi oder provocationis.

einlegen, I) eig.; z.B. Holz, s. anlegen no. I, 1, a: einen Brief ei, s. einschließen no. II. – Soldaten, eine Besatzung ei., urbi praesidium imponere; in oppido praesidium ponere, locare, collocare. – Dah.: a) die Lanze auf jmd. ei. = mit eingelegter Lanze auf jmd. losgehen, gegen jmd. ansprengen, infesto spiculo petere alqm (übh.); infestā cuspide equum permittere in alqm (v. Reiter, Ritter): mit eingelegten Lanzen zusammentreffen, infestis cuspidibus concurrere. – b) zu künftigem Gebrauch wohin legen: condere. recondere (aufbewahren für die Zukunft). – condire (mit Salz etc. einmachen). – c) zur Fortpflanzung in die Erde legen, z.B. Reben, sarmenta in terram defigere. – d) in etw. Figuren anbringen: distinguere (z.B. auro et argento). – eingelegte Arbeit, an Kunstwerken (Bechern etc.), emblema (ἔμβλημα): an Tischlerarbeiten, opus intestinum; vgl. »Mosaik«. – II) uneig., Appellation ei., s. appellieren: Fürbitte, Lob etc., s. Fürbitte etc.
