[греч. tri — приставка, обозначающая "три", и франц. - ose — суффикс, обозначающий принадлежность к сахарам]простейшие моносахариды с тремя углеродными атомами в молекуле (напр., диоксиацетон, глицериновый альдегид). В зеленых растениях Т. образуются в результате фиксации CO2 в процессе фотосинтеза. Т. и их фосфаты — важные промежуточные продукты обмена веществ. Фосфорные эфиры Т.
