Цифровой поток или сигнал, используемый в схеме синхронного мультиплексирования для формирования сигнала более высокого уровня. По своей сути триб - это сигнал, который согласуется с той или иной иерархической структурой плезиохронных или синхронных систем, и в этом смысле он называется подчиненным сигналом.
