1. Полис страхования жизни двух или более людей, когда застрахованная сумма выплачивается по смерти последнего из них. См. также: joint-life and last survivor annuities (аннуитеты совместной жизни и последнего пережившего).
2. Контракт (прежде называвшийся tontine (тонтина)), в соответствии с которым страхование жизни заключается группой людей, причем все из них на протяжении своей жизни платят страховые взносы в общий фонд. Никаких выплат не делается, пока из всей группы не остается в живых только один человек. В этом случае он получает все поступления по полису. Подобные контракты не заключаются в Великобритании, поскольку они подразумевают соблазн для членов группы убивать своих коллег, чтобы оказаться последним пережившим.
