2 сорбенты
[лат. sorbens (sorbentis) — поглощающий]твердые или жидкие вещества, избирательно поглощающие из окружающей среды газы, пары или растворенные соединения. Поглощающее вещество называется С., а поглощаемое им вещество — сорбатом (или сорбтивом). В зависимости от характера сорбции (см. сорбция) различают абсорбенты (см. абсорбент) и адсорбенты (см. адсорбент). Отдельную группу составляют ионообменные С. (см. ионообменные смолы), поглощающие из растворов ионы одного типа с выделением в раствор эквивалентного количества ионов другого типа. Важнейшие твердые С. — активированный уголь, силикагель, алюминия окись, цеолиты, ионообменные смолы. С. применяются чаще всего для поглощения каких-либо веществ из растворов или газов с целью их очистки, удаления неприятного запаха и др.Толковый биотехнологический словарь.
