On this day Spaniards play practical jokes or inocentadas on each other, much as we do on April Fools' Day. A typical example is sticking a monigote, a cut-out paper figure, on someone's back. Whenever someone falls for a trick, the practical joker cries out "¡Inocente!" Para otros nombres, ver el segundo elemento. IIel día de los (Santos) Inocentes — ≈ April Fools' Day, ≈ All Fools' Day
