    восторг, божественное видение; в наиболее общем смысле определяется как движение сверх его природной или свободной склонности. Само непосредственное видение Бога или божественных вещей, по Роджеру Бэкону, - высшая из семи ступеней внутреннего опыта. По Бонавентуре, у ап. Павла было божественное видение, в чем выразилась его человеческая уникальность после грехопадения. Августин выделял два вида восторга: один - тот, что отвлекает от чувственных ощущений и приводит к воображаемому видению, другой - тот, что уводит одновременно от чувственных ощущений и воображения и способствует интеллектуальному видению Бога благодаря воспринимаемым умом исхождениям (имиссиям).

Св.Павел испытал божественное видение, согласно Бонавентуре, и в этом был возможно уникален среди людей после грехопадения, может и Св.Франциск - единственные исключения, которые приходят на ум. Августин выделял два вида восторга: один уводящий от чувственных вещей к воображаемому видению, другой - уводящий одновременно от чувств и воображения к интеллектуальному видению, через интеллектуальное постижение Бога благодаря некоторым воспринимаемым только умом исхождениям (имиссиям) или через интеллектуальное видение Бога в сущности.
