(1752-1832) Френо, ФилипПоэт, журналист, публицист. Известен как "отец американской поэзии". Ранние стихи написаны в традициях английского сентиментализма и классицизма. После критики пасторальной поэмы "Американская деревня" ["The American Village"] (1772) в течение 14 лет публиковался под псевдонимом.
