Чем возвышеннее объект, тем меньшего его "опускания" достаточно, чтобы вызвать улыбку. При рассказе о святом и обычная бытовая речь звучит комично, не говоря уж о пограничных терминах. Приведем для примера анекдот без непечатных слов, воспринимающийся, тем не менее, как совсем неприличный."Береженого Бог бережет!" - приговаривала монашка, натягивая презерватив на свечку.Кстати, именно святое, почитаемое большинством, - идеальный объект для анекдотов.
