Бах, семья музыкантов, жили и работали в центральной части Германии, в Тюрингии, в XVI-XVIII вв. Среди них были уличные скрипачи и городские музыканты, органисты и канторы, капельмейстеры и придворные музыканты. Первый известный представитель династии Файт Бах (Bach Feit, умер до 1578 г.) жил в Ваймаре, куда попал не позднее 1540 г. после изгнания протестантов из Моравии и Словакии. Большинство музыкантов семьи принадлежит к её главной ваймарской линии.
