15 Cop Dyed Yarns
The principle of dyeing weft yarn in cop form is used for cotton wool and other fibres. The cops are placed on perforated hollow spindles in the dyeing machine and the dye liquor is pumped through the yarn from the centre and the outside of the cops. The yarn is now ready for the shuttle. Yarn intended for warps can be treated as above in the cheese form or when wound on perforated back beams. -
