Y sin mediar más palabras, armado Luis de nuevo con una fuerza y ardor superior al que empleara cuando comenzó a limpiar la cuadra, dispúsose a introducir todo el estiércol que habla sacado otra vez dentro de la cuadra, y fue entonces cuando la Agapita posesionada de una envenenadora rabia se puso delante de él, y arremangando las sayas hasta por encima del ombligo, enseñándole sus piernas y todo cuanto el Hacedor de mujer le había dado, escupiéndole a la cara le dijo: —Tóu nun yes home, nin yes prexona, nin yes nagua, perque you to' ufreciéndute tóu lu qu'axustante coumigu, axina ye, qu'aquinde te lu dóu, paque cobres per echu 'l trabayu que me fixiste, cuétchelu fasta que te fartes, ya deixame 'l cuchu nel chugar que tá, se quiés que tenamus la festa na paz. Luis miró a la Agapita con asco, con desprecio, dentro de la endemoniada ira que no admitía más razón, que la que el propio ser de antemano ya se había industriado, por esto, asiendo con la pala una gran palada de estiércol, la lanzó con todas sus fuerzas entre las blancas y desnudas piernas de la Agapita, que le hizo perder el equilibrio y caerse cuan larga era en mitad de la cuadra, y aunque se incorporó con la rapidez de una felina fiera, no fue lo suficientemente ágil, para librarse de otras dos paletadas que desaforadamente le lanzaba el enardecido Luis, dentro del afán desmedido de concluir con prontitud lo que se había propuesto. Entafarnada (llena) de estiércol la Agapita, y acolmenadu su cerebro con tan macabras intenciones que de contentura le hacían sonreir al diablo, asió con celeridad un rátchun (rastrillo de madera) y dio tan grande mazazo encima de la cabeza del furuxu (furioso) Luis, que éste no pudo ver nada más que una procesión de estrellas que adormecían atropelladamente su cerebro. Al caerse en grotesca postura el desventurado Luis y manar de su cabeza un escandaloso reguero de sangre, detuviéronse los encendidos y asesinos ánimos de la Agapita, y en su lugar, alumbrose la humana condolencia, conducida por una pena que hasta el miedo la arrastraba, y navegante ya en el tenebroso suplicio de saberse dueña del delito que había cometido, sus ojos dieron comienzo a un caudaloso río de lágrimas, y de su garganta entrecortadas por los suspiros, brotaron estas lamentosas y condolientes palabras: ¡Ay má d’el miou alma, que fó lu que fixe, qu’achuquinéi ‘sti home. ¿Quéi cuntu a les xentes cundu tóes xunies sen faeme deximes queran confundime?
