сущ. водорез, шек, катватер - один из брусьев форштевня (стема) деревянных судов, крепящихся к нему и предохраняющих его от повреждений при ударах. У деревянных парусных судов военного флота водорезом называлась наделка у форштевня, выдающаяся вперед. Верхняя часть водореза называлась княвдигедом, а нижняя грепом. Эта нижняя часть водореза соединялась с баксом, а верхняя — с кривым деревом, носившим название стандерс-индегет, а передняя — с деревом, называемым лисель-индегет, к которому присоединялось носовое украшение. -
