A coarse, heavy cotton fabric, manufactured as an imitation of cassimere for men's wear, made with 64 ends, 68 picks, 16's warp, 12's weft, or very super quality yarns, twill weave. Dyed yarns are always used. Sometimes made in stripes and checks when the ground is all colour with darker colours for the effects. -
