саморегулирующая организация
Одна из нескольких организаций, созданных в Великобритании на основании Закона о финансовых услугах 1986 г. для регулирования деятельности инвестиционных финансовых учреждений, а также для разработки и введения определенных правил поведения. Сначала Управление по ценным бумагам и инвестициям (Securities and Investment Board) признало пять саморегулирующих организаций, которые были ему подотчетны. В 1991 г. число саморегулирующих организаций в результате объединения Ассоциации рынка ценных бумаг (Securities Association Ltd (TSA)) и Ассоциации брокеров и дилеров по фьючерсным операциям (Association of Futures Brokers and Dealers Ltd (AFBD)) в Организацию no ценным бумагам и фьючерсам (Securities and Futures Authority Ltd (SFA)) сократилось до четырех. Другими тремя саморегулирующими организациями являются:
Регулирующая ассоциация финансовых посредников, менеджеров и брокеров (Financial Intermediaries, Managers and Brokers Regulatory Association Ltd (FIMBRA)), которая регулирует деятельность организаций, осуществляющих торговлю и управление ценными бумагами, сертификатами паевых трастов и страховыми полисами, связанными с паевыми трастами, а также работу независимых финансовых консультантов;
Регулирующая организация компаний по страхованию жизни и паевых трастов (Life Assurance and Unit Trust Regulatory Organisation (LAUTRO)), которая регулирует деятельность компаний, предлагающих страхование жизни и паевых трастов как принципалов;
и Регулирующая организация инвестиционных менеджеров (Investment Managers Regulatory Organization (IMRO)), под контролем которой находятся все институты, осуществляющие инвестиционное управление.
С апреля 1993 г. действует Организация личных инвестиций (Personal Investment Authority (PIA)), которая контролирует деятельность инвестиционных учреждений, работающих преимущественно с частными инвесторами.
