природный пигмент, синтезируемый организмом; (напр., мембранный белок галофильных бактерий (см. галофилы) — бактериородопсин. Полимерные пленки с включенным в них бактериальным светочувствительным белком также называют Б.; они используются в системах оптической обработки информации, динамической голографии, оптикомеханических запоминающих устройствах и др.
