1 арбовирус
[греч. ar(thropod) — членистоногие, от arthron — сустав и pus — нога, англ. bo(rne) — переносимый и лат. virus — яд]внетаксономическая (включает представителей разных семейств) группа РНК-содержащих вирусов животных, объединяемых по экологическому признаку — как передающихся через кровососущих насекомых; более узко А. — только некоторые представители семейства тогавирусов. К заболеваниям, вызываемым А., относятся клещевой энцефалит, японский энцефалит и геморрагические лихорадки. А. могут поражать также животных (напр., восточный энцефаломиелит поражает лошадей).
