דְּקַן, דִּקְנָא, דִּיקְ׳m. ch. = h. זָקָן, beard, bearded chin, hair-growth. Targ. Lev. 13:29 sq.; a. fr.B. Bath.58a תפשיה בדִיקְנֵיה seized him by his beard. Gen. R. s. 72 (prov.) הניאת לסבי מן דִּיקְנִי thou pleasest my grandfather (with hair) from my beard, i. e. you wish to be liberal at other peoples expense; (Yalk.
