In -Service Training, т. е. подготовка учителей государственных школ в Великобритании во время учебного года, обычно в школах, где они и работают. Отсюда выражения INSET course, INSET day, INSET training. Этот акроним впервые появился в 1970-х гг., и с 1987 г. учителя проводят не менее 5 рабочих, так называемых «неконтактных», дней на INSET.The school will be closed on Thursday for a one-day INSET course on the National Curriculum. — Эта школа будет закрыта в четверг в связи с проведением однодневнего Инсет-курса по национальному учебному плану.
